Mark Swadener has been the chief executive officer of DG Petro Oil & Gas, LLC since founding the company in 2015. Mark led DG Petro into its current partnership with Juniper Capital in 2017, and he has since borne ultimate responsibility for DG Petro’s drilling, completion, production, land, legal, operational, and regulatory activities. Through this partnership, DG Petro currently operates a family of companies in the Delaware Basin (1920 Energy and 1921 Energy) and the Midland Basin (High Noon Resources). Collectively, these companies operate approximately 5,200 BOEPD across 14,000 acres.
In the last year, DG Petro divested Pecos River Exploration, a 2,250 BOEPD, 8,000-acre position, completed a multi-well development in Reeves County, and has recently spud four U-shaped wells.
Mark is an active member of the Dallas Petroleum Club and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to starting DG Petro to pursue opportunities in the Permian, Mark worked for Oxy, Denbury, and smaller independent operators in basins across the United States.
